Can we show respect!!

I am getting a bit fed up, with Canvey supporters getting confused about who deserves respect and who does not.

 

So I have some hints on who does and who does not.

 

We do have to respect:-

 

each other and each others opinions

a team that works its way from Essex Snr League to Conference in 10 years

Doncaster drawing with a premiership side.

a player/manager/chairman putting in 10 good years with one club

minnows out classing giants

any youngster who breaks through the ranks at their club

any english 1st team player at arsenal/chelsea

anyone in yellow who works hard

honest referees and officials that work hard

those people standing in the rain, banging a drum, screaming "YELLOW" in some piss drenched northern hovel

West Ham supporters (for staying loyal after they sold Cole, Lampard etc etc)

any teams 100% club

any defender who knows how to use the referees pencil on a strikers tongue

MY NAN!!

Players who have left but still come and watch!!!

what people do behind the scene (burgers, barmaids, stewards, ball boys, gulliver, groundsman/woman, board, reserves, youth, supporters club, cleaners etc

 

We do not have to respect:-

 

BRYCO FC!! or whatever Hx/Grays/ricay are calling themselves this week

Any other club that has bought its success

referees and officials that do not have bottle, who cheat or who are incompetant

fair weather supporters

anyone who will not buy their round

any team that cannot look us in the eye and say "we have earned our right to play you"

any player who does not try hard

 

 

 

So Canvey supporters lets get this right we only respect what has been earned, not bought, borrowed, stolen!

 

 

Our respect is valuable we do not give it away, it must be earned. To me that is what I want from my team, I can then say f&*K everyone else.

yeah sure,you definitely need that now to consolidate and may be going further.grays is certainly showing the way how to do it at the moment.investing in youth and promoting the club to the local comunity is a must.
