OK, following on from the valid point made by Roger in another thread, would people prefer for threads in the Trust forum to be moved in here and have a single forum for all matters, or continuing as we are with a separate forum for the Trust with any threads put on the club one moved as and when necessary?

to close to call, how about the people that can't get to a pc over christmas. i know you started it on the 22nd but some people have been on holiday for christmas. this needed to be done in the new year when everyone had a chance to vote.

33 people is about right for the number of registered users we have on here. As for not moving it, as much as I larked around with Roger the other week, his point was perfectly valid. Look at how often the Trust forum is used. Chris S usually posts stuff about the Trust, in the main forum. Discussions evolve into ones about the Trust, in the main forum. Look at the Trust website. The only piece of news which I've got to add into that is the Race Night, which will be the first update on it since August. Is it being utilised? No. Have I posted (on the main forum I'll add) about getting more information on it rather than posting it on the forum first? Yes, plenty of time. Has that been heeded? No.

 

Basically, the Trust site can go. It's not used, I doubt it is visited and there's no updates coming through. Is it really a worthwhile expense? No.

As much as I am behind the trust (and Mr Sliski, don't go Chris!!!) I agree that the forum has become unused and unnecessary. Just because we lose the forum isn't necessarily a massive blow to the trust, it's just about streamlining.

just think that with them together looks like the trust and club are one. i think thats wot roger was getting at ( if i'm wrong roger sorry )

In regards to the Trust website, could an agreement not be made so that there is a section on the main Slough Town FC site dedicated to the trust rather than the need for its own site - or simply posting a news story like any other story on the site but in a different font or style so the two can be separated.

 

Although I guess this conflicts with epicreble's point of the trust and club looking as one.

 

Just a thought.
