Chris Sliski - steps down from Trust Board

This is a lot of crap, Chris has managed to turn criticism of the club into a personal attack on him, and feels that he should step down (pause to wipe away a tear). Any person who stands for pubic office should expect some criticism its the nature of the game ie if you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

Roger does not need to stand in order to be able to make criticisms of the trust. He is entitled to his view and he is as entitled to express it here as anywhere else.

In the trust's (albeit short) history I think only 11 people have put their names forward to be on the board and there has never been a contested election. That in itself is a weakness.

I think many of the criticisms which have come various sources including SR1, RR, Andrew S and Nibbler are justified. However these are criticisms of the club and the trust and not of Chris. As stated above I think Chris is very important to the club.

What we need to do is ensure that something positive comes out of this whole debate that takes the trust forward.

BR is right in that perhaps we should get Supporters Direct involved to give us some further guidance.

It is not doing the club any favours squabbling amongst ourselves - so I think we should re-evaluate things early in the New Year and concentrate on supporting the players and cheering the boys on to victories over Windsor and Hampton. Surely we can all agree on that?

I have to say thanks to alls those who know how I feel personally.....

I have to reply to Roger...

Have to take critisum when in public office...what the hell are you on about ?

I don't get paid , I do, this for the club and its supporters....nothing less then my best...

and I have said many times and to repeat again for Rogers sake...I accept what you are thinking and have the right to make your views known...But its the way you do it...you have undermind the trust at every possible moment...you can , knocked the do'ers..yet fail to reliase that this type of show on your part only cuts through to those who are trying their best...we have never said we are the best or the right people to do the job...but until we do...we are all you have got !

I appreciate that we have faults... we have ways that you maybe don't like...maybe you should join us and show us the error's of our ways..

I accept Ted's posting to be spot on...so please stop blaming us for your frustrations...

We are all in this together...the Trust the club and its supporters...

The board will be having a meeting in early january 2006 to take on head to head your points...and lets see if we can move forward...as this all the trust want to do...

chris sliski personally

Wow I know Christmas is a stressful time but is'nt everyone getting just a little bit OTT.

Has the De Kuipers Cherry Brandy been hit on already? Always dangerous to have 'emotional' confrontations online, when you can't see someones eyes or hear the inflection in their voice; the question becomes an accusation, the inquiry an intrusion, the legitimate query an unprovoked attack.

Nobody likes critical feeback and those who voluteer are usually the thinnest skinned and the least able to deal with it. Just remember that when you feel like sounding off against someone ( or even some organisation, as people are always in the crossfire). Nice to see people saying some nice things too. Should not have to wait for a crisis though to say thanks!

Have a good Christmas then work out your differences face to face in the New Year( or in the bar on Boxing Day)

roger on a serious note, like chris i was on the stsa board from the start 26 years ago. along with my family i helped in the burger bars at wexham, then i took them over when my mum died. i done the turnstiles on first team game, played for the stiffs and played and run the supporters team all for NO wage.
