I doubt there are many supporters in the country who are as hardworking and dedicated as Chris and I think the trust and the club would be considerably poorer withoiut his involvement.

Chris,

I don't see what purpose or good it will do for you to step down from the Trust board. I know banter and abuse are part of football but I would probably get a bit fed up with it all the stick you get after a while.

We must remember that the percentage of people contributing on this forum is very small in comparison to people who come to the games, and you seem to know everyone and be the 'face' of the club. Like Marcus, you were the one who kept on eye on me and my mates at our first away games when we were 12.

I agree with Ted that "most of the criticism originates from the club's failure to communicate."

Maybe we should get someone down from Supporters Direct again to chat about what other Trusts have achieved, problems they have faced and what they are doing - especially the smaller Trusts.

I must put something right Ian, when this thread first started it was about the club not doing anything to get more sponorship The fist person to mention the trust was Paul Srevens, followed by you.

And I'd agree with you, Roge, that not having a sponsor of some sort by this stage of the season is ridiculous. I brought up the Trust as they have come in for criticism for several things, many of which are not justified as I have tried to demonstrate by looking at the original objectives set.

They are not working to a secret agenda and actually do a good job balancing the difficult task of representing their members and assisting in club matters (as individuals not as Trust representatives). Maybe I agree with some of the comments on here about the Trust, maybe I don't. What I absolutely don't agree with however is criticism of anyone without people being prepared to do something about it themselves. That's an easy way out.

By the way, I meant I can name names, not I can name names and Roger is one of them!

Grrrrrrrrrr I'm angry!!

This is crap news. Chris Sliski is one of the most hardest working people I know at the club. He supports the club through thick and thin and does what he thinks is best for the club. Yes certain individuals may not agree with some decisions but I don't see these people putting their names forward for the club trust?

He Works tirelessly for the club yet the minority who just moan, moan and moan and do little for the trust despite having all of these 'wonderful' opinions and doing sod-all about it apart from moaning on a public forum. IT'S PATHETIC!

Look at who Chris has to deal with - Mr Deaner, Mayfair and our supporters. He does this all in his free time - hardly a bundle of laughs at times running around and dealing with these people, while holding down a full-time job and having a young family to support at the same time is it? But I spose it's easy to shoot down the figurehead...

Seems a lot of the 'issues' that people have are to do with the club rather than the stsa. If that's the case take it up with Roy or contact Martyn Deaner - don't pin it on the trust and Mr Sliski....

A very Disappointed Chris B

Chris

Aidan and I are really sad to hear your decision and hope you will change your mind. We think you do a great job with the resources you have. We think Warren, Marcus and Martin's comments say it all.

Chris it is with great saddness to hear of your resignation i am sure with what we all have put with in the last 3 years and the sructuer we are attempting to form with the trust.Everyone has an oppinon or critisim that is life, i feel that the contributions you and the trust have made outway them and the future of our club outweigh them.My wish is that take time to consider the contributions you have made in such difficult times; our cause must live on with people like yourself

My only comment about the trust was about them giving money to other causes, whitch i personally do not agree with.

No, Roger, along with your views on the Dover donation which are entirely valid you have made several comments just in the last couple of days about threads being moved on purpose to hide information which is a further insinuation that the Trust has some sort of secret agenda.

Roger has always implied that the Trust withhold information from the club, it's not a new thing. When put forward to be elected though to actually find out first hand for himself (I actually think he would be a huge asset to the board), he doesn't want to know. Reminds me of a local councillor.

Roge, have a look in the trust forum itself for the ones moved, as you've said yourself, there's not many in there, so it won't take you long.

As for removed posts, I've not done any certainly for the past six months, perhaps the year, so I don't recollect the exact details of the posts which I've removed I'm afraid.

How many have you moved since your moderator power got enabled? Sure seemed quiet on here last night.

Chris, I'm sorry to hear that you have come to the decision to step down from the Trust board.

You and others have put a lot of hard work into forming the Trust to make it what it is today, the only life-line that Slough Town has should the day of recognition come.

It's a crying shame that your decision has been made because of the critism that has come from the tiny minority when the vast majority of Trust members KNOW what an excellent job you do trying to balance Trust work with everyday life.

Every Company/Party/Organisation/Trust have people on the sidelines who will critisise but never step up to the plate, this is a fact of life.

I know this is easier said than done but I think you should be big enough and strong enough to accept/ignore these critisms knowing that you have the backing of 99.9% of Trust members.

I hope you change your mind because IMO, without you, the Trust will slowly die along with any long term future that Slough Town has.
