Got to say that Stimmo's Army has made a lot of excellent points in his postings and I find it very hard to disagree with a lot of what he says.

 

Grays through Micky Woodward's forsight and money have moved forward greatly and are poised to achieve promotion to the Football League in the timescale Woodward set for them, two years. Good luck to them, they are a well run club that seem to have ambition and I have to say that I do not dislike them as much as most here do - "Johnny Come Lately" Hornchurch however, I absolutely despise... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

Yes, good luck to Grays (just not over the next week and a half).

 

Should they be promoted they could provide an interesting insight as to what Canvey could realistically expect to achieve if we ever decide on our strategy.

Fu*k that! I respect Stimmo coz its true... he does put across some good points but you wont get me saying well done, pat on the back sh*t that the others are saying. I genuinely dont like Grays Athletic and i never will.

 

Sorry but i'm honest and we are playing them next week so bring on the banter and not kiss their ar*e for recent sucess when they are very quick to dish it out to us.

 

And no good luck from me for getting promoted too. I hope they finish 6th on goal difference!

What Stimmos Army wrote made a pleasant change from all the "my clubs better than your club" rubbish that usually goes on.

 

If people want to slag down each others clubs then that`s their choice it just seems a waste of energy to me, support your club support your team and let Grays (or whoever) worry about themselves.

With Canvey and Grays there is a healthy rival level, football needs it at any level and we have it.

 

For our two clubs its perfect because we are not far from each other, we are currently in the same league and we have had some great games in the past.

 

Yeah there are other 'rivals' but there is nothing like a good same league rivalry.

 

BUT saying that I do not like Southend at all (bitter at losing players too).

I will never like Grays and never like Stimmo but you have to respect what they've achieved in such a short space of time.

I dont agree with unneccesary comments being made, like with Hornchurch. With them, its not even about football. Just an excuse to mouth off coz they're a bunch of twa*s! But i believe that rivalry between clubs near to each other should have banter and even a dislike to each other. You dont get Arsenal and Tottenham fans EVER being nice to each other and now i live up here in Sheffield with a load of Mancs(theres loads of them here!), you should hear the things United and City fans say to each other.

 

So i stand by what i said, which was not violent or had any chavvy malice (that was not aimed at Grays!). We have a game together soon and i wanna completely stick their big-headed cocky attitude right back up their ars*s with a double win. It's a local derby which we must win. Forget that they are near the top. I just mean we need the points and they are our next opponents and it just so happens that they are our neighbours and i fu*king hate them.

 

I will be at the game and i will be shouting everything i can at Grays to get in the spirit of a proper local derby! Plus, i'll be cheering on the Canvey boys too!

I do not respect Stimmo, he is knob who supports a chav team who will follow their mates Hx. A [****!!****] for a manager who should be made to shout his instructions from the toilet where he belongs.

 

In fact as soon as they follow Hx into financial oblivion their fair weather supporters they have sucked in from other local non league sides will desert them back to the teams they supported before.

 

Like Chalky I hope they nearly qualify, or better still qualify and have points deducted for being a mickey mouse team with scum fans and get kicked back into the essex Senior League where they really belong.

 

Some Canvey fans get on my nerves, "I respect this one, value the opinion of that one and agree with that one"!!!!

We can and should point out to them and all other Essex supporters that we are the fastest rising team in football and they are not permitted to clean the boots of Greggors, Midgley, Parmenter, Ward, Forbes, Dobinson, Bennett et al!! Let alone our developing crop including Hallet etc.

 

The fact they have bought some players does not mean they have bought history or class because they will never have that!!!

 

Mr King and co have built a club over years (note club not team) and it is still building, GRAYS your havin a laugh!!!!!!!!
