Flying to Stockport??

Some of the EFM boys are thinking of flying Heathrow to Manchester for our 1st Round FA Cup match against Stockport.

 

Having looked on the internet, I can confirm that flight tickets are available from <big> £9 </big> with British Midland Airlines.

 

Anyone else interested in flying??

I've had a look on BMI too, Colin, the fare out is £32.50 (9 am flight) and £6.50 return (18.45).

The flights are well early - about half eight in the morning getting into Manchester Airport about half nine, but by the time we get into Stockport it'll be almost pub opening time anyway!!

 

Haven't looked into return flights as I've already booked a train ticket home on Sunday afternoon.

When Canvey played Wigan(?) last season, they chartered their own flight up there!!

 

I wonder how much it'd cost if we got enough people willing to do that!!

You can also go albans - bedford, bedford - bletchley, replacement bus bletchley - milton keynes then onwards!!!

But the times for Stockport to Albans are midweek times so are no good.It's still possible to do but it's a crap journey,typical for a railway worker to [****!!****] up,anyway £46 is a bit steep I hope it's not going to be the coach. <img src="/forums/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

As mentioned elsewhere 4sight tickets available on midland mainline 4 people St Albans to Sheffield return £48.

 

Manchester Airport trains go to Stockport which is good for flying presumably.
