THE DEATH OF COMMON SENSE

TB&G

Recommended Posts

This whole thread about the death of common sense seemed a typical piece of Great British Whimsy. no real meaning, some may say total bollox, but at the end of the day never likely to harm anyone.

Then I read that our home game against Burnham on 2 January is being played without the bar being open!! Steady on. Is this just the thin edge of the wedge? Sort it out guys or I shall be writing a letter personally to Henry Ford III

Must go now, off to flat share with Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells.

How much notice does Fords need, I personally told the manager and a couple of his helpers 2 months ago our fixtures in December, when the burger bar wasnt opened at the Sawbridgeworth game due to lack of staff and then complained about the mud of the prematch kids boots really took the p!ss as they were concerned about a wedding taking place, think they were forgetting who spends more over the season.

Plus the rudeness of old happy in the burger bar is an embrassment, Saturdays game against Hornchurch, run out of burger rolls, do you want a burger in a dog roll was her shout, sooner we can get out of there the better glad I eat before I go there,

Sorry Zody, but there are parts of your last post that I just can not agree with.

I accept that there are parts of our relationship that are not ideal, but the mud etc in the clubhouse was a disgrace. There have been signs in the clubhouse for months about this, but no one took any notice and there appeared nobody taking control to make sure that the kids did the right thing.

Now you know from my previous posts and PMs that I support all that you do for the kids and the club, but we need to show some respect to our landlords, the facilities and other users. A wedding day is a very special day and we should respect that. Just think ahead to the day we have our own clubhouse. No doubt we too will be looking to maximise income by letting those facilities out for such functions. Are you suggesting that our attitude when we do will be "but don't forget that we spend more money here so what we want comes first on everything"?

Not only will we end up with another clubhouse like Sungate, but The quality bookings will soon go elsewhere.

spot on...we have lost a couple of fans who resent the use of our facilities for outside functions but as our Sally says as she struggles to get our lot out after a match at 7ish...

'well give us 3 grand and you can stay all fckn night'....

its a reality of NLF....we all need dosh and the functions dunt'alf bring it in.... fortunately most of our fans understand this....the two requirements can be accomodated thru common sense management and jen jonno and sal do that very well....

as for kids running riot in clubhouses....sorry boys but you know my views...they keep the 'spending' punters away....mums and dads with 'little johnny' do not spend much needed dosh....

adults out on the lash without 'little johhny' do....
