Great win, great support, roll on the next round.

Not the finest game of football you'll ever see but sublime finishing from Paul Hakim and some stirling defensive performances, particularly from Nicky Burton in the middle.

Crowd was given as 1900 odd, must be a very small ground, another hundred and it would have been full.

Oh, and 7/10 for Ms Chapman the referette, she's getting better!

A great workmanlike performance in a very intimidating atmosphere today and fair play to Alison Chapman, who did a very good job in very difficult circumstances. A close call for MOM. Paul Hakim had a fantastic game for the Saints with two brilliantly taken goals but Nick Burton was simply awesome at the back and just shaded it IMO.

The 1,953 crowd figure given is laughable. How on earth do they get away with it? . Add a thousand on to the attendance given and you would be a lot nearer the mark.

Well done to Colin, Nick and all the lads.

I agree 1,953 must be a mistake - given that their crowd against Hendon was 2,693

Still a stirling performance by the Saints - Roll on the next round (not Boreham Wood away please)

I see their manager has given City due credit for the performance, but was not so keen on the ref. I thought she had a very good game and it would have been easy to go with the home crowd to avoid being booed off. Did not agree with all decisions but in the main she was right. I wonder if she hears any new comments these days?

It appears that the standard of the Ryman is in decline if they are promotion candidates. Steve Butler & Dave Sergeant are both key players for them who failed with us. A favourite tactic appeared to be having a tantrum.

As I was driving away I thought I saw the back end of a 'skirmish' between fans. Assume it was Dons chasing Saints as I recognised nobody, did not see the victims. Thought these 'fans clubs' were all salt of the earth types.

Very interesting views on yesterday's events I must say. Let's clear up something first before you have a libel on your hands. The crowd yesterday IMO was about right and was what was expected. The attendance of 2700 for Hendon was a league fixture, and one which was promoted beforehand to get kids in for free. Season ticket holders are also counted as being at league games regardless of whether they actually go to the game or not. Yesterday's figure meant that we actually had 1900 people through the turnstiles. I'd also like to point out that there were not a couple of hundred St Albans fans there I'm afraid - more like 75 to 100.

Now that's cleared up, let's talk about that 'referee'. Clearly out of her depth on this stage and it showed. An utterly incompetent performance which ultimately cost us the game. No consistency, no common sense, and a laughable application of the laws of the game. Hope we never see her again.

As for the game I think a draw would have been a fair result. Can't see how you think that you deserved the win I'm afraid.

Finally with regards to the alleged violence outside of the ground. I hope you have some sort of proof to back this up. There has NEVER been any trouble at any of our home fixtures as far as I know. I saw nothing to suggest this wasn't the case again yesterday.

Anyways, good luck for the rest of the season and in the trophy. Feel free to put me right if you feel I've got anything wrong here!

So the Hendon attendance is complete b*llocks - That explains everything,

Thanks for your good wishes and best of luck for the future

Like I said, I hope you have proof. I didn't say it didn't happen, just that I'm surprised if it did, given our track record at home games.

And no, the Hendon attendance isn't 'complete [****!!****]'. It's how proper football clubs with season ticket holders announce attendances for league fixtures. I'm astonished that after just one visit to AFC Wimbledon, you feel you can comment on the accuracy of our attendances.

I think an enjoyable day was had by all yesterday and it was a great result for the lads! Im not sure I agree with much you say there Cambridge Womble but then we are all entitled to our own opinion.

We had that ref for a friendly at Hampton at the beginning of the season and I wasn't too impressed then but she seems to have got a bit better! As for a draw?!! We deserved to win and lets hope the draw is kind to us on Monday.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Interesting reading your programme. 500 season ticket holders apparently don't bother showing up for league games so your average is something like 2,150 instead of 2,650. Another 300 or so presumably couldn't be ar$ed to turn up and pay yesterday for 'the most important game in our history' as your manager called it.

Anyway, back to the programme. Turn to page 9. Titled Safe and Sound, it devotes a page on various incidents at recent AFC Wimbledon games (albeit mostly away) and how you can prevent them. I'm sure you are doing all you can but there will always be small-scale skirmishes like this one, just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

And lastly, Ms Chapman. A fairly experienced Ryman League ref I believe, and not the first time she has reff'ed one of your games. I'm not a fan of her style personally but she got most things right yesterday. You ought to see some of the comedians we get in the Conf. South!

There was trouble at the Ramsgate v Wimbledon game apparently in a previous round. The bigger the crowd you get the more morons you are likely to get. Look at Aldershot for example.

Last Saturday before Christmas. Are you surprised a few people opted to do something else this weekend? We have a few ST holders that don't normally attend. All credit to them as they probably sign up to help the club financially, knowing full well they won't make the majority of games.

Suddenly your experts on our fans and their actions. I've been going to AFC Wimbledon since our reincarnation defeat at Sutton. Not once have I seen a single incident at Kingsmeadow. Why? Because we steward/police the game appropriately. Just look at the major incidents at our games: Wallingford (away), Coney Hall (away), Bromley (away), Herne Bay (away), Ramsgate (away), etc. Notice a pattern? Yes, they're away fixtures, and away fixtures where the away clubs have failed to supply adequate safety arrangements in selfish attempts to make as much money as possible. Admittedly we have a few idiots as do almost every club, but we don't have problems with them at home.

I'm genuinely shocked that you seem to think the referee was acceptable. I refer you to donsonline.co.uk and a rugby tackle on Michael Harvey in the box that went unpunished. Add to that her inability to book your players, yet think nothing of dishing out cards to our players for far less serious offences.
