slough had a goal disallowed in the last minute, they (heybridge) were down to ten men in the second half

They had a man sent off following an altercation with Woodruffe who was booked for his part in it, and was lucky to stay on the pitch following a late challenge about ten minutes after.

 

Never really got in behind their defence and with Hodges going off five minutes into the second half with a knock on his ankle, our chances were fewer. Best chance came from Mason whose low drive bounced up in front of Nicholls who parried the ball over the bar.

 

Poor first half into the wind, and started brightly before their guy was sent off, but even with them down to ten, they forced Masters into a couple of smart saves.

 

Late free kick from Woodruffe with all the other Slough players in the box, including Masters. Ball went right the way through, but the linesman saw a push and ruled it out.

 

Fair result in the end as we didn't create enough/work the keeper enough.

At full time in the match Slough 'keeper Clark Masters was applauded off the field and was congratulated by Heybridge fans for keeing the score down with some very good saves. He replied by shouting that one of the applauding supporters was a fat [****!!****] and then ended up spitting into the face of another supporter. I trust the Police were called as it was a total disgrace. And will the League and FA react??

Having been able to see the disallowed goal again, the lino was right in his decision. Carbon was backing into the keeper and impeding him, otherwise he would have been able to get something on the ball, so well done to him on getting it right.

Good pic, Gaz. At least there was some justification for it being ruled out.

 

What else do you notice from the picture though? It's the 92nd minute, we're one down, we've got a corner which is swung into the box.....how many Heybridge players are going for the ball? Three. Amber shirts? NONE. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

not a good day all round I guess... its an upward struggle...well done to all those brave souls who ventured into deepest darest essex...I was glad to get home yesterday...stood in the shower for 30mins getting warm...

 

come on Slough ....we need some more points...
