Reading the Brentford website, it seems that John Mousinho is in their first team squad for their league fixture this weekend. Obviously this means he won't be back with us for the Heybridge game

Don't know if 'Bugger' really sums up my entire feelings on the matter but it will have to do!!! I was looking forward to a Daly, Steele, Moose back 3, or a four with Moose on the right, Woody left and Steele and Daly central with Jay on the right wing again like Bromley. But hey ho, I guess my favourite player will be playing again!!!

LoL. There's only two players that I can think of that come anywhere near as bad, Adrian Brown and Nick Gyoury.

Actually in fairness to Avery there is one defender who I would rate him better than.

Now that's a lie. One game where you had gone OTT (as usual) you were calling for Ricky Browne to be recalled in place of Avery. Now if that doesn't concern your stalker, nothing will...

Oh yeah, I remember now, I believe I wanted to recreate that wonderful moment where we got to cheer our own player being sent off. One of my highlights as a Slough fan, it must be said.

In all honesty, and I did say this on the coach, Avery was much better yesterday and was probably our best outfield player. However, personally I am still not comfortable having him at the back, as he rarely instills confidence with his decision making and positioning. As I have said before as well, if he proves me wrong I shall be more delighted than anyone. It is possible, just ask Alexis!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I will also be more than delighted to be proven wrong about Avery. I think the truth is that he's played enough games to let us see whether he has the ability to make it at this standard of football.

 

Whilst he can put in the odd good tackle his overall play i.e. heading, positioning, judgement, pace, etc. are sorely lacking.

 

The difference with Alexis is that we could all see that he had the skill and ability, he just had to improve on his commitment and work rate, which he has done.
