Hardly a surprise. I wish Ben all the best, but it was difficult to see how a young player with an some potential went so quickly backwards after a promising start.

The latter time here he was truly abject, clearly lacking in any confidence, and someway short of what was needed in the Conference.

Hopefully he has found his level.

Got to disagree with a bit Chatham Gary. Think he IS Conference level. He was very neat and tidy a bit in the Bowrey mode. After that injury he sustained last year his confidence just nose-dived.

 

These things just sometimes happen.

 

Hopefully he can regain his confidence and get back with a decent side.

 

Personally I thought he was very likeable bloke and wish him well for the future.

Looks like the bonus sponsor-a-goal income won't be winging its way to the Trust then.

 

Andy Y raises a good point about his injury - he didn't really get much of a chance (i.e. only brief sub appearances) to get his confidence back this season, which is understandable given that the centre of midfield often picks itself at the moment. There was the odd moment to remember, though, such as his fine cross for Slatter's goal against Southport.
