Bowers v Romford LC

Recommended Posts

Following the draw last night between EM and Stansted, by my calcs we need only to draw at Bowers next week to qualify in second place. However a 3-1 win would have the ESL officials searching desperately for their bag of balls, unless their is a contingency in the rules to allow for a play off!

Anythng better than that we top the group.

Well that's what it says here anyway.

Hello folks , long time no speak so it gives me the greatest of pleasure to respond to the legendary "Coup" with, I hope, some sort of answer to the interesting position in the Leasgue Cup table if Romford win 3-1. This will mean Eton Manor and Boro' dead level on goals and games won so League Rule 13 ( The Cup is played to these Rules whilst in League form ) will kick in as follows:- " ... the clubs concerned shall play off a deciding match or matches, on a neutral ground, and the net gate money after deducting the usual match expenses shall be divided equally amongst the two competing Clubs " .. see, we don't even want to cash in on your plight ! Oh by the way, I can guess what question is coming next .... this play-off game would come under Knock Out Cup Rules which means 30 minutes extra time and penalties if still a draw.

May I take this opportunity of wishing everyone a very Happy Xmas and successful New Year.
