Gate 281

Well Town started playing flowing attacking football and this was very pleasing to the eye. The first chance fell to Rudi Hall who in a one on one with little Tommy Tucker forced a great save with his feet. Trevor Paul picked the ball up deep and proceeded to run and flick the ball on to Bryan Hammatt, shame just missed getting it through to Bryan. Baldrick tried a shot high and wide. Steve Magona was booked for a clumsy foul. On 16 minutes Bryan Hammatt had the easiest of tap ins from the edge of box after Tucker committed himself outside his box wide and a rebound fell perfectly for Bryan Hammatt to finish beautifully. 1 – 0. Steve Magona almost headed into his own net only for Chopper to prevent the move. Barking and east Ham pushed up for that elusive reply goal. Adam Gant tackled back well. Baldrick crossed a lovely cross which Tucker gathered. Russell Penn tackled back well. Barking and East Ham appealed for a penalty – None given. At the other end Trevor Paul was blatantly fouled in the box and no penalty give. Niall Ritchie shot wide. Trevor Paul had a one on one with Tommy Tucker which was saved finally on the 45th minute Rudi Hall crossed a pearly of a cross in for Trevor Paul to pirouette and volley into the roof of the net 2 – 0 and Barking and East Ham were never going to come back from that.

Second half Barking and East Ham threw everything forward and Town decided to play the on-the-break game. Bryan Hammatt shot over. Niall Ritchie shot along the ground against his old club. Niall Ritchie chipped Tommy Tucker beautifully and it would have gone in but for a cruel bounce wide. Chopper was forced to save. Steve Magonads went down with tears in his eyes after a slip on the grass. Trevor Paul shot low past the post. Steve Velandia shot past the post. Bryan Hammatt put his head in his hands after missing an open goal. Kevin Stephens booked for clumsy tackle. Johnny Morgan came on and was on fire against his old club. Eventually on the 85th minute Rudi Hall hit one low and hard on target and under Tommy Tucker 3 – 0.

If you missed it, it was like watching Town play away from home. Best home creative performance of the season. The trip on the minibus before the match must have conned the players into thinking they were playing away!

I think some mention has to go to the sales staff yesterday for making people give up their hard earned cash for good causes. Golden goal tickets no doubt were all sold.

Junior managed to sell 'loads' of tickets and the first prize for the 50:50 draw was over £100.00!

And then we had the more 'mature' sellers who almost got it right! New to the scene, they managed to sell 'loads' of raffle tickets for the JETS draw. A bit of training from Junior will probably see them sell even more in the future.

Must not forget the sales staff in the 'new' shop and those in the JETS hanger.

Good day had by all, except if you a B and EH supporter.

With regards to the match itself. It does go to show what a decent run in the side can do for a player's confidence. Those playing yesterday looked sharp and worked as a team. The midfield and front players had many chances and put three away against a side who had not lost for 12 games. Now that can't be bad!

I even thought Steve Baldwin was going to score for the second time in a week!

Just one point to mention. When we are winning, Andy H does not have that much to do. However, why is it that we try to score against him with headers? Do the players feel he is not doing enough so they want to try him out and see just how good he is?

More of the same on Tuesday and Saturday, please. Not the attempts against Andy, though.

Junior in that Father Christmas basque and mini-skirt made me feel cold just looking at her but certainly got the fans to part with their money.

Auntie Wainwright in a Santa outfit was amusing to.

Not so sure the "mature" sellers appreciated the stick from the old chap in the stewards overall though.

Well done everyone a great day.

Must Agree Andy, well done to the "more mature" ladies on their sales of "JETS" Raffle Tickets, with just a little help from your Good Self I hear!!!!!

Well done to you all. You won't be safe next week either as the "sellers" will be out in force, you have been warned!!!!

Junior walking around in a Christmas mini dess, high heels and a fur coat.

What a legend <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

The sight of us all wrapped up in ten layers of clothing, hats, gloves, and scarves, and hanging on tightly to hot cups of tea to gain some precious warmth.Whilst Junoir swans about every game in mini skirts, heels and summer tops, gets more surreal by the game.
