Mr Ross (Joe) was an assistant referee in the UEFA cup in 2000.Hodgey may of dived but didn't see any complaints from harrow players.

Didn't think it was a dive at all. Strikers these days will always spot a chance of being brought down and when the opportunity presents itself, why not? He induced the tackle from the keeper and went over. No question it was a pen, especially in this day and age...

oh yes, theo walcott does a mccleary and lobs the keeper from just outside the box at quite an angle....brings back memories of yesterday!!

True, just think the keeper did enough wrong without being accused of giving away the pen as well!

He did, but also he should be able to learn from this experience and bounce back from it. The stick he got from the crowd was not abusive in any form and I'm sure at some clubs he will get a lot worse when he plays well at other clubs.

 

He's a young lad and will continue to develop and matches like this, although I'm sure he won't appreciate it at the moment, will go a long way to his development.

Agreed- Taunting but not abusive! I think we all loved him too much to swear at him.
