[color:"blue"]To be honest I think that you are looking a little harshly on Alexis. Let's look at a few things about last season, he was signed after the club had taken voluntary relegation (even though they were facing a compulsary relegation due to not having a ground to play at). This prompted an exodus of half of the team. That we managed to assemble a squad that season was nothing short of a miracle.

 

Early in the season we lost our 'star find' full back to a broken leg, and shortly after lost our Captain and a midfielder to long term injury too. To make matters worse the Club were put under a transfer embargo stopping us from signing replacement players and often for weeks on end we were reduced to the starting XI & 2 on the bench. Sometimes the players weren't paid for weeks on end, but they still turned up, trained & played.

 

Alexis was really bought to boost the numbers and make the odd appearance from the bench. His promotion to the first team was out of neccessity rather than design, he played out of position and was often coached from the touchline during a game. He stuck with us for the whole season - quite a feat given the circumstances - yet we condemn him for being a poor defender ... Sorry I don't buy that.
