It was brilliant. Canvey played well first 10 mins and scored after 5 mins. After that though, Slough took over and were much better in my view. At no point, even when Canvey made it 2-2, did I think we were going to lose. Boot and Winston were superb, Boot's winning goal said it all - fantastic header into the corner. Canvey had their moments but on the whole were very disappointing for a Premier club and considering their FA Cup exploits of recent seasons. Seriously Slough had enough chances to score five or six.

 

I dont know what to make of the draw.... in essence it doesnt really matter as anything can happen but it's a very very winnable game especially since we're at home. Lets not jump to conclusions though.

I think you are being a bit harsh on Canvey Matt , I think it was case case of Slough being superb !

Extraordinarily good result slough. even though im an essex 'bwoy', im not a canvey fan at all. stop your car on canvey island for more than 30 seconds at traffic lights and you start to sink ! canvey chairman is a right 'face' who owns clubs and bars around the area, need i say more !! given that they are also a 'media darling' club because of their exposure last year, im proud of you slough town !!!
