Why DO you go to HDP?

*I would add that it truly feels like OUR HDP, because we have all invested a little bit of ourselves in it as it is now. So a sense of belonging to something good.

*It is also a great leveller, as no-one is excluded by colour, sex, age, or anything else you can think of, and where else can you go and find so many friends from so many different backgrounds and yet feel you are all the same?

*Win, lose or draw, at home or away, it can be tremendous fun.

*It is something that takes you away from the cares of the world for a spell into an engrossing and interesting place.

 

(I might add that it is truly awesome to see so many exceptionally fit young men running around in shorts, but you might then think I am a naughty old biddy.)

I go cos ive always been a agate fan and just long to get the great days back. it gets in your blood see and then you meet others that think the same . Aloso it beats that football (money) league hands down,. Mind you i'd like gate in it. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

By the way i go to hdp for thses reasons,

1 coz i love the town which i live, so i will as always support the local team

2 i love meeting the people at the ground

3 i think we can get back to where we were b4 with all of our support

4 i love doing my bit for the club...even if we as stewards get stick from time to time ....we love you guys .....hehehehe

I support Margate because I grew up round the corner from the ground, And I was even a teenage season ticket holder many years ago. Now I,m back this season at last, now bringing my wife and daughter. There is nothing like watching live football as my wife will verify, she wont have footy on T.V. but spent a week moaning at me when I told her we could not afford to go today and will even sit in her wheelchair in the freezing cold for a mostly friendly club. Maybe I'm stupid but I could not go anywhere else, HDP is home for me.
