1 O'clock Kick Off Boxing Day

I have just heard that the Boxing day game against Windsor has been set for a One O'clock kick off. Am I wrong or last time this happened this did not give the ground enough time to thaw out, but was fine by two. And why the 1 kick off anyway?

Last time it was a 12 noon kick off when it got called off, and it could be argued it was perfectly playable. If I recall correctly, Windsor were really struggling for first team players that day as well.

 

To be brutally honest, as it's not our home game, let it be called off as ours was last season. We're not missing out on much!

TP, last year was set for 11am and frozen off, previously at Wexham Park it was set for midday and frozen off, thus we [Roy & I] settled for 1pm as it is [theoretically] the warmest time of the day and gives those travelling further more time to spend with their families later in the day.

A 2 or 3 o'clock kick off could see the ground freezing up again before the end so 1 o'clock it is!

Having said that it will probably be wet and mild and the pitch will probably be flooded. LOL.

At the end of the day cold turkey can't get any colder can it?

I hope it is called off. Last year's decision was exceptionally dodgy and Windsor don't deserve to benefit from a possible "bumper" crowd this year. I say play it on a Tuesday in February clashing with the next round of the Champions League.
