At this stage last season

we were 1 win worse off with 25 points from 19 games. Major difference is that last year we were in complete freefall and couldn't win a game. This year we're going in the other direction. OK it's nothing spectacular, but I know which I prefer <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

No mate. Last season we had a great start...3rd or 4th after 9/10 games. Then the wheels fell off

And Stevenage were 8th with 29 points and Aldershot were 10th with 28 points. Both made the play offs.

The unbeaten run started towards the end of the season before didn't it.

Last season our great start was to draw at home to Northwich (impressive eh!) and then to draw at Canvey. The win away at Morecombe was a good result but most of the other early points were against sides we would expect to beat. The wheels fell off when we came up against Barnet, Aldershot, Carlisle, Hereford and Halifax all of whom were better sides than us, funnily enough when we got back to playing sides like Leigh, Farnborough, Scarborough and Tamworth the wheels fell back on again.

Indeed they did Harry, although I think they were far better equipt than we are. I'm happy at this stage for us to keep creeping quietly up the table with every team we beat describing us as a cr*p pub team.

We look like a nice solid mid table Conference side to me, which for a club with our resources and poor stadium is about all we can expect to be fair.

 

Last Saturday's win against Morecambe was what being in this league is all about - winning against a high flying team - it meant something !

 

You can keep your table topping times in the Ryman league, give me a mid table Conference team any day !

spot on... We are mixing it with the best sides outside the of league footie, which is the best we have ever had it.

Its just unfortunate we can't muster up the interest of the wider public of Gravesham, to enable us to push on.
