Overall,though reports of some good play it was a dissapontment by some fans that were there. Some Gate fans were overheard to shout at CK shouting their displeasure for another dire performance.

One or more were heard shouting "What a load of rubbish" at CK at the end of the match. It was overheard also that CK replied " Well why did you come then". Will be interesting to hear reports from those that were there and to hear their reaction to those that called out to CK and about his reply. Didnt sound like the game was that bad,though second half we seemed to fall asleep again & fall away though with not actually being there cannot summarise. Many thanks to Robert for his help. He didnt want me to mention the supporters or CKs remarks but I felt it was something we should know.(Sorry Robert but I couldnt resist mentioning it) Will also be interesting to hear reactions to those comments.Maybe just one or two feeling let down more than others perhaps.Maybe it wasnt our lads shouting in the first place though I suspect it was.I know I am and I didnt go to the match. CK should understand that maybe the reason people arent coming to games now is just because we are putting in bad performances except on the odd occasion.If we can do it against Hampton then we should be able do it against other lesser teams.(not saying Heybridge are a lesser team).Sorry,I was getting carried away there and the game may well have not been as bad as those odd supporters thought.At least they went there and credit to them for that! I suppose if you travel that far and get a mediorce performance then some are going to be dismayed and voice their opinions.

Im not gonna get sucked into this whole CK great or [****!!****] debate another season running. We have a young squad, a good nucleus of players, we are just lacking a bit of clarity week in week out. If we can settle the team, and maybe bring in a few old heads we'll be on our way.

 

This season was never going to be spectacular. With recent seasons no-one seems to want to go near us and just use us as a stop gap.

 

Performances like hampton will come more consistently we just have to remind ourselves that we can't just expect to get promoted we have to earn it with performances. Slagging off anyone won't make them play any better.

Maybe I should have waited for reports on tonights game including the afters to those that went.I wasnt intending to cause a row but just giving you what was heard.Thats what I do,give you the truth and the facts.

We should all know whats going on I think. To everyone else who slates Seasidesteve he is allowed his opinion whether we agree with it or not.It may not ultimately be what we want but lets be fair and hear from ANYONE as to their views.He may well not agree that we want him to stay and finish off the job he started but he dosent slate us back for our beliefs.Come on now lets accept others views as well as giving out our own. As for making things worse can you honestly say that it will! I dont think so some how.

Luckily we are not in the lowest of the league positions yet and because of that CK has more time allowable to finish what he started. Until we we are in a really sticky position we should all just hope that sooner rather than later we will get it right on a more regular basis. Alan you are right we just need to string a couple of wins together to ease the pressure.Leyton will have to be the first in that sequence so we should all get there Saturday and get behind the team.I am not happy with things at the moment but changing the manager mid-stream is not the answer but again Seasidesteve is entitled to his thoughts and opinions.At lease he is giving his HONEST views.

Yes we are playing [****!!****] but i still have faith in CK. Although unless fans are verbally abusing him he should learn to bite his lip. Fans who make the effort to travel away{especialy on this form} are going to start to get aggitated.

Tony, if we do stay up the only reason will be that Redbridge Windsor and Maldon are three very poor sides it will not be because of CK. We already have a new ground, a perfect playing surface,have a squad that on paper should be at least challenging for the play offs but apart from two matches (Fisher away and Hampton at home) have consistently under performed this season. Some of the performances have been the worst I have witnessed for many years (Cray and Chelmsford for example). We have used over 30 players this season already. It's getting embarassing!The reality is that we were in the Conference two seasons ago and now are struggling near the foot of the Ryman league! Can it get any worse?

CK should not(if as was heard is correct)bite back.Fans do it and can do it but the gaffer has to stand firm and ignore them however much the provocation.Maybe he too was voicing his displeasure in his own way also.
