Tuesday AM Update -

Very well done to Keith, Andrew and all the intrepid volunteers who were working on the pitch for about 4 hours last night to get it into some sort of shape for the game against Margate tonight. Thank you one and all.

Lets hope we ADAPT better than they do and do so QUICKER than they do this time. Lets hope we have learned from Saturday. However if some comments that mention the "bog" would prevent us from playing the ball around as we are supposed to do at home on a smooth and waterless pitch like at HP then we are doomed to begin with if that be the case.I dont believe for a moment that we cant perform, at least equally to the opposition in a mud bath and in some of our games we have encountered conditions of this kind and came out victorious so we cant really use the pitch as an excuse tonight,not really.If the players are up for it,if they concentrate from the start whistle to the final whistle and they have full commitment,they instill into themselves full confidence and are not afraid to be bold, plus have full belief in themselves then any amount of a "bog" should not prevent us from getting a result.CK has to get them going,get them motivated immediately and attack attack attack from the off.Pin them down in their own half.The only way we can lose is if the opposition are far better than we are individually AND as a team unit.If we really want to win the game,really really want it then I see no reason why we shouldnt come away with not the one point but ALL three! Come on lads lets break their 6 game unbeaten run tonight and force the pace tonight and do the business.Think of them as the league leaders and maybe those qualities I speak of will come to the surface.

In the paper today (Tuesday) CK is blaming the pitch for Saturday's defeat. That's all very well, but we are going to have to play on loads of pitches like that, starting tonight by the sound of it.

yup i agree chris if we cant get results on bad picthes then the future is going to be bad, lets hope they take what they learnt on sat and use it, on them pitches its not about class football but grinding a result out.
