I think you may have hit the nail on the head jc and the fact that they are still part time is probably the explanation for Jacko, Skins and Proths being out of favour.

Obviously for any football manager there can be no room for sentimentality and Liam has to think of the future of the club above any individual players but I am not a manager and I am sentimental about my favourite players.

I suppose if we want success some players have to be replaced but Jacko and Skins would both get into my all time top two players so I hope they are not sacrificed in the drive to become a full time outfit. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

That's because we've just won three games in a row, which in reality makes us as much play-off candidates now as we were certainties for relegation after defeat at Grays.

 

As for what Slarti has inferred from the article, I too can only hope that the team is being selected in terms of merit rather than who's full-time and who isn't in each position.
