Hi i'm a Hemel fan and was wondering how many fans you reckon will make the short trip?

Would you consider it a "local derby" ?

Certainly not too far to go, nearer for me than CP. Probably 20-30 will make the trip, some of us are quite proud of us winning the HSC last season and would like to do it again.

 

You will start favourites as we have so many first teamers missing but we shall see.

On current form, we (Hemel) certainly wont be starting as favourites. Pity there's not much of a rivalry between the clubs as it would make the local game a bit more interesting, maybe if we had had spent a bit of time in the higher divisions we wouldn't consider Berkhamsted as our local derby as if anything St Albans is closer.

It always used to be Hitchin or Boreaham Wood - For a short while it was Stevenage. Nowadays I guess it must be Cambridge City or Bishops Stortford. Though I believe Hayes is now the nearest club to us in the same league.

maybe see you at Vauxhall Road for the cup tie tomorrow then, just a word of warning... some joker painted the lines in our car park too close together and at acute angles, it's funny to watch everyone struggling to get in and out of spaces while knocking off wing mirrors but I suggest parking in the roads around the ground for a quick exit after the game.

Strikes me some of the comments do not give Hemel the respect they deserve - It's not that long ago that city were in Div2.
