How serious does his injury look.

 

Is it on of those that will gradually get worse unless rested; or could it heal itself whilst still playing.

 

Just have a fear that it may all go belly up, and that if he is not given chance to recover for a couple of games, we will end up losing him for about 2 months with a more serious problem

[color:"blue"]Didn't see him yesterday, but from his past two appearance I'd say the injury is getting worse rather than better - the cold weather will only aggravate it. If that is the case, surely it's best if he rests as long as possible before it gets to a stage where he might need surgery. This season we have a better reserve keeper than last, but even if Chris is unhappy about using him, then now (before the transfer window re-opens) is the time to get a temporary replacement (ie: get them match fit & in a 'shop window' for the scouts to view), we might get a reserve team keeper from the Championship or League One. That way we should have more than adequate cover whilst Charlie rests & recovers.
