BM did not get that treatment Zodes.

I was at the Wolves game a week and a half after he died in February 1993.

It was very emotional though, Geoff, Martin and Ronnie Greenwood brought a no. 6 in the shape of flowers to the centre circle and then a minutes silence.

I would also mention that the Sat after he died the Rokerites held a minutes silence preceeded by a wreath laid on the pitch. The WH fans then laid their own next to it in memory of the Sunderland fans who had just been killed in a mine.

Touching really and of course the football wasn't important just people showing their respects.

The only sour note for me was the morning of the Sunderland game I went to the Boleyn and saw the ticket touts. Good I thought, they were paying their respects. Not on your nellie, they were there paying youngsters to queue up and get them tickets for the Wolves game that was gonna be a sellout.

I reported it to the Ticket Office Manager, who has since left, he didn't wanna know, it could have caused quite a stir if I'd have phoned the Sun.

But Bob wouldn't have wanted that so I retreated quietly and it still hurts me that these parasites are still around outside the main gate "I'll buy, I'll sell"

They always get a big stare from me cos it's now illegal and no one does anything about it.

i think the reason why george best' funeral and whole death had more coverage was that after finishing playing he remained in the football families eyelight,ie as a pundit, whereas once bobby moore finished playing and had a brief managerial career,he walked away from football

I wasn't comparing both the send offs, merely confirming what happened.

BM was a quiet studious bloke who appeared to be very cold to outsiders but once you got to know him he was a born leader.

I had respect for both and of course saw Mooro many times including his last WH match v Plymouth

Also I have a line in his book "Moore of a legend" couldn't think of a greater tribute.
