Sittingbourne Result

Sittingbourne 2 - Enfield Town 4

Good result apparently on a very boggy pitch.

Unbelievable dicision to award Sittingbourne a goal, to send them one up.The lino had his flag up for at least 5 seconds because of an offside. The ref fails to spot it (even though we are all yelling at him).A sittingbourne player crosses the ball over (whilst we are whistling at the ref to spot the flag up),Dave Allen then heads the ball into his own net.The ref runs over to the lino who is still flagging for the earlier offside, has a two second chat with him ,and then awards the goal.AAAAAHHHHH

Ritchie was man of the match for the second game running.

Sittingbourne scored against the run of play.Town responded straight away and cut the opposition apart with some great passing moves, resulting in Hammett and Rudi scoring good goal straight through the heart of the sittingbourne defence.

Baldwin scored a sublime goal to make it 3-1 .He picked the ball up in midfield about 30 yards out.He spotted the keeper wasn't in the middle of his goal ,and calmly placed the ball sidefooted in the corner of the goal that was unprotected.

Sittingbourne made it 3-2 in the second half with a close range effort.Paul made it 4-2 with a mazy run across the edge of the box followed by a low shot into the corner.

I'll comment more about ref and other incidents in my next post.

Gutted I couldn't be there today. LMH was not well and Mrs H had a bad back.

Great result and well played Town and extra congrats to Steve Baldwin. I heard that his goal was superb.

Keep it up for next Saturday. Can't be there for that one either but another 3 points would be greatfully appreciated.
