Just back so i'll give first report.

Woeful first 6 mns two goals from open play. Then we dominated but caused litle problem. Pitch poor bumpy and soft with bare patches. We literally had half the crowd. This is the first time i have ever said that. Could not believe their ground is good enough for Rhy. Prem. In some areas there were no barriers you could just walk on. No tannoy system incredible. Felt soory for their team who played good attacking soccer and gave us a chance too.

Second half startrd poor then the ref pulled a muscle. Ten or twelve min delay to find a qualified lino. Buster Bloodvessel then lined ( weel it looked like Him) and we started poorly again. Then they scored and after we totally dominated for ten mins. JK replaced by HD who scored with a great header. More pressure but no goals and then it peed down and the game petered out. Can't say anyone played badly. The team kept on trying. It was just a krap start.. great support from the fans which quite a few Gate players acknowledged after the game. Dissapointing yet i still think overall we are getting better. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Just like to add to Geoff's post that woeful defending in the first 10 minutes lost us the game. When Hasim and Dean Standen came on as substitutes we began to play much better, and had more attacking chances.

Hasim's goal was a superbly taken header and it was worth going just to see that.

The team we started with was the same players as last week. Subs were Peter Egan, Ellis Remy, (on for Keister) Ian Hilaire, Hasim Deen (on for Anton Robinson), Dean Standen (on for Sesay).

In the first half, apart from the first five minutes, I would agree there was not a lot in it - but I can not remember a shot on target in the first half (from us) - which is just unacceptable. However, I felt that, on the balance of things, the scoreline flattered us. ETU had so many chances in the 2nd half that, if we had lost 7-1, I do not think we could have complained. The ground was awful (arguably the worst I have ever seen), and the away support was very good. On the whole, a disappointing day for me...I was expecting something from it.
