I'll be honest in saying, apart from twiss whom I was reading about in NLP today, (and ofcourse Macdonald) that I have no idea about the physique of these players (You can say all you want, I have a bad memory, or I don't really look at their players, I look at ours,) but I will take your word for it.

I have no doubt some anorak will be checking their 2005/6 edition of the non-league guide as we write, Ian. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I have never rated Omoyinmi as much as others that contribute to this forum, too small and too lightweight for rigours of the Conference in my opinion

I know you say conference. But he has done it a league level...two difference levels but he should have had the capability of dealing with it .A loss maybe but not greatly missed.

I hope the decision to release Manny won't come back to haunt us.
He'll do well at that level, I just fear that the squad of our own players is being continually weakened.

Indeed - as I've said before, Coleman looks a good Conference player, but once he's left (probably, ruling out loan extensions) by the New Year, we will be looking a little threadbare in attack again, especially if Charlton feel the need to recall Sodje for youth matches at any time.

Don't think it will, Jimmy. As WVN rightly said, Manny wasn't really built for this league.
Most of the best strikers are just short of 6', quick, good in the air, upper body strength and have broad shoulders enabling them to shrug off neanderthal defenders.
Mamny only fulfilled 1 of that criteria.
MacDonald, Sodje, Johnson, however, are all in this bracket.

What about Moore, whose potential you have been citing on here of late?

There's no reason why successful Conference strikers have to be big, strong players. Manny demonstrated, in games such as Barnet at home last year, that he has Conference quality. With him, the problem was more with consistency and fitness.

I can't help but feel that Manny's been a bit harshly treated - particularly when Jukebox, not even a forward, was selected ahead of him up front earlier this season. One of my favourite Fleet players on his day, I'll miss him. Best of luck at Lewes, Manny.

"Adrian F was 4'7" - made Ronny Corbett look like Ronnie Hall. Devastating in the air though! "

I think we were all 4'7" at some point in our lives !! even you !!

Rather have Ada in my side than against me ! Dennis Wise ....but with a brain !!

Cheers,
