For The Walton & H Lot

Can't be bothered to go and register on their forum, so I'll post it on here. They're having a go at Hodges for the challenge on their number two early in the game, claiming GBH. Utter trash. Having had the fortune to see it again, yes there was obvious contact, but certainly no intent. Hodges eyes never leave the flight of the ball and there was no malicious intent to take the guy out.

I've heard though, that later in the match, the number two had a clear elbow at Seedel (off the ball and with intent) not picked up, so he's not the angel they're making out.

I saw a diferent game so did an independant reporter of a paper your guy smashed his elbow into the face of our player, quit deleberate and viciouse, as for our guy, lost 3 teeth, will be out for 6 weeks and has to wear a brace for 18 months, if you got what he got you would be looking for retribution as well, also our chairman has asked for the video, suprise suprise , you lot say it didnt cover the incident, so how have you watched it again ??

John that is [****!!****]. Horrific injuries happen all the time without the need for malice or an "unfair" challenge. Examples are countless but how about Wayne Bridge, who was one tendon away from having his ankle detached from his leg or the Coventry defender Dave Buust (sp) who suffereed a horrific break at Old Trafford. Both injuries occurred because of perfectly fair challenges.

Of course Walton fans won't understand the irony of that statement coming from you, Martin! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

W&H football club have had the full co-operation of Slough Town over the incident, they have supplied our chairman with video footage and the club is satisfied that it was just an unfortunate challenge.

Being as though this is from the same guy who responded first in the thread, I hope this will also be put on W&H site/board to close the situation. Yes, we're sorry for the lad, but there was no intent.

I'm sure all of us wish him a speedy recovery.

Sorry I can't remember my password (rarely post). I am sure that Alan Dowson once calmed down after the game will appreciate more than anyone that football can be a physical game.
