I think the FA should introduce a new ruling - sent off more then 4 times in 1 season the your banned for the season

Except that his second booking was for deliberate handball not kicking the ball out as he seems to imp,y in his article.

Indeed he did make a factual error with this claim. I suppose the question is whether injury to a player is a sufficient mitigating circumstance for the referee to let the player off for handling the ball in the aftermath.

It was a deliberate, pre-meditated handball - he only acted "injured" after he realised that the referee had seen the handball.
