John Drabwell was at the helm from 02.05.71 until 07.11.72, and his stats of 22 games producing an average points per game of 0.82, leave him in 41st place out of our 45 managers.

 

In those days, Boards of Directors certainly knew what they were about and John was replaced by Mickey Hunter who served from 11.11.72 until 24.03.73. His tally of 0.47 points per game from 15 matches puts him in 43rd spot.

 

Surely, it couldn't get worse! At the point of Mickey's departure, his record left him bottom of the all-time list, and the only way was up. Surely. The Board of Directors couldn't go wrong, could they? Surely?

 

They appointed Tommy Coleman to the hot-seat from 07.04.73 until 19.12.73. His stats of 0.38 ppg from 32 games created a new tenant at the wrong end of the Hall of Fame, and Tommy is now 44th in the all time list.

 

Tommy's photograph hung in the same spot in the Hall of Fame for almost exactly 21 years, vitually to the day, until his position propping up the table was taken by Stuart Cash, and with a ppg of approximately 0.00 from 1 game, his only hope of moving out of that spot is if the Board appoint a manager whose surname starts with any letter in the alphabet from 'D' onwards.
