Oi, Zimmerman!!

Recommended Posts

Ring any bells??...

Colin Zeal (4.9.02): "Single of the (nearly) year: Sugababes - Freak Like Me"

Zimmerman (4.9.02): "not worthy of that single of the year slot, and not just because it's a cover."

Well mate, don't know if you saw the results of the Q Awards (hardly Smash Hits is it?) this week, but it seems I was proved right.

Your words - please eat them!!

Radiohead best act in the World today, at least someone noticed..

Mind you, whilst I have a lot of time for Coldplay's effort, I thought 'The Last Broadcast' was probably a bit more deserving.

As was 'By the Way' by RHCP for the single. I got the Sugarbabes 'Freak like me' mixed by Richard X, the problem is, that however hooky it is, it isn't totally original.

Has anyone seen The Hives live? Having seen Muse and Oasis live they are pretty had acts to follow. I did see the White Stripe a couple of times and they were pretty good, but not really up with the big boys in that category.

I saw the Hives at Reading, and in no way do they beat Oasis.

What was the award Pink won? Was it best video for 'Get The Party Started'? Oh well, the Polyphonic Spree were good, and I've never seen so many good looking men in one room! (Especially that Fischerspooner bloke!)

What did you think of Adam and Joe as presenters? I thought they were quite funny, although I'm biased, having been a fan of their previous work.

Didn't see the awards only the results, I haven't seen a lot of Adam & Joe except for 'Seven' with puppets and a 'who wants to be a millionaire' spoof with Star Wars figures, which was cool.

If you haven't seen it yet, watch 'Look Around You' on BBC2 tonight, it's a spoof for anyone who's seen really bad educational programmes in the eighties. Only 10 minutes long but really good...

Oh, I forgot it's not long till our little game together 9 November isn't it??

Will it be 'Feed the World' yet again...???

Actually, I just read this on the Stortford match report...

Quote:

First half fine, committed battling display and an entertaining game. Vincent injured in the 24th minute and replaced by Langer. Les W swears. Half hour and The 6 and a half members of the St Albans EFM gang singing 'Feed The World' for some strange reason. 34 minutes and Langer gives horrendous pass back to opposition who must have found it more difficult...

People just don't get it!!

What with us having no fans, should you decide to sing, 'shall we sing a for you', please try to meet these requests -

Mercedes Benz - Janis Joplin

The Rubarb and Custard Theme - Easy one as it has no words

'Steve P What's the score' - Only to be used if Chesham are winning,

not like the bunch of Maidenhead fans who sang it to me when we lost 5-0 at their place, add to that, I got a parking ticket that night, all I needed was my home to burn down and a cardiac arrest and I would have completed the nightmare...

On memory I think you won 3-1 last season and we got 4 or 5 the season before. They're always interesting games nonetheless.

Wayne Andrews hat-trick wasn't it?

My favourite Chesham memory has to be the 6-1 we got there in 1996. As I recall, Jon Farmer started the...

"We are, we're the mighty saints" song, having heard it the night before on the TV.

Also, I had a strinking hangover after going to the Horn the night before.

The 5 that Steve P may be refering to could be the 5-0 defeat in the FA Cup 1993-94.

It was 3-2 last season at ours, I remember that cos I did the report, I think Wayne Andrews got luckywhen a couple of your defenders tripped over. I was very even handed, I said we won on the basis that we made less mistakes than your lot and mentioned the 'Feed the World'. In THE season it was 2 draws and two great games.

It was also one of the rare games at yours where we head Graham 'not to be trusted with the funds' Roberts in charge with Grobelaar in goal. I think we won 3-2 that day as well.

The worst game I remember was a 0-0 at our place, the pitch was in such a bad state that our only shot stuck on the goal line. It's usually an entertaining affair.

At the moment we seem unpredictable, we beat the shots but we don't seem to get much consistency, so I predict a draw..

I've also just found out someone I used to work with is a Soccerette from Sky's Soccer AM for this week. She's fantastic, if only she wasn't a gooner and well, you know...
