What's the line up?

I think they should rest Boylan and Tait! Hallet & Ebe to play.

I am frozen solid. Awful performance. Half of the players couldn't give a toss. We showed no effort, no ideas and despite dominating possession no real attacking threat in front of goal. It was the several pints of Guinness behind the goal and an Iron burger that got me through that debacle otherwise I wouldn't be here to tell the tale.

Awful, quite frankly awful!!!!

Thats what I like about you Yellow you always say it as it is/was.
Waste of a night out then.

Oh I wouldn't say that. Gave me an opportunity to catch up on some drinking time. Thank the lord Braintree is one of the few grounds that allows you to drink on the terraces otherwise I would have lost the will to live!!

Did Andrew West, Lee Jay and Mitchell Lowes impress tonight Yellow? Obviously these games are when the youngsters get a chance. Did you see anything to make you think they might get given a chance in the Conference at sometime in the near future?

McKinney Nervous lacked confidence not commanding.,

Ward Solid as always not at his best though,

Andrew West worth watching,

Bimson a couple of mistakes although one of the best, needs someone he has confidence in on the wing otherwise he will always have to go inside.

Jay would like a chance to watch again.

Lowes reserve comment.

Noto tried very hard but could not seem to make things happen, not our worst player tonight.

Clarke Not good enough and the team looks to lack confidence in him, everyone around me groaned every time the ball went out wide.

Gregory some flashes of the old stuff, my MOM even though I am not his biggest fan.

Ibe needed a Boylan to play off.

Hallett I have never rated him, I am coming to realise he is hard working committed and could be a quality player one day.

Tait and Keeling brought them on too late and should have swapped them for Clarke and Ibe leaving, Hallet on.

The best thing about tonight, Greggors diving header and Jasons work.

The worst thing about tonight, Clarks performance and Jason took an extra touch when he should have shot (he is learning).

It was one of those games where I wasn't too bothered about winning or losing, but as soon as that whistle blew I was hoping for the victory.

The performance was lifeless, with nobody overly impressing. Keeling and Macca looked good when they came on, but everyone else only showed glimpses of what they can do at most. A bit worrying when you consider these are the guys who are supposed to be offering the first team competition for places.

Nice to go back to a familiar ground again, not a bad little club Braintree.

Now you are taking the piss.

You need to get some perspective pal. In the grand scheme of things Braintree are a little club, as are Canvey. One day you will learn...

Absolutely correct in the perspective of non-league football. Both Canvey and us are giants compared to Paglesham but minnows compared to Chelsea or Liverpool. The tone of the posting I was responding to was condescending particularly as most of us that know the Canvey set-up, ground etc consider your club to be well out of their depth at the level you are temporarily at.

I wonder is the fruit machine in the club still surrounded with Iron bars? Seeing that spectacle was one of the highlights of my visits to Park Lane, though I suspect you will have added a few bits since your Ryman days.

CIFCislander here although under a new name now as my acount went tits up last week and have had to re-register.

Although not a massive priority on our list, i would of liked to have done well in the essex cup. Silverware is siverware at the end of the day.

Very dissopointed with the showing last night as know one seemed botherd. It was only untill Keelo come on that we actually looked liked we wanted to attack.

Ozbrit the bars have now been taken away from the fruit machine, its now a magical forcefield

Anyway good luck to braintree in the next round.
