Despite the fact that most of us would like to see the club move to a new ground sooner rather than later. The lease extension is really brilliant news.

 

If nothing else it ensures the club has a future, certainly until 2025, and ensures that the club has a home. Better be safe than sorry just in case all the talk of a new ground goes 'pear-shaped' at some point in the future.

 

Rent-free??? even better.

 

However, God knows what the old place will be looking like in 20 years?

I read it as would waive the rent if we moved , therefore not tying us in to the end of the lease if we find somewhere else to go?

Very generous of the landlords to waive the rent, do I take it that we pay rent at the moment and as of now it will be rent free? or is this too good to be true?

Any idea how much the rent currently is?

 

Any savings at present are offset against the drop in average attendance of around 300 = £3600 per fortnight/£1800 per week.

I know its not as simplistic as that, but it does highlight the complexities of running a full time club on a tight budget.

Any savings, however small, are always most welcome.

just checked on confguide, for the same period the drop is actually 403!!
