Letter from America: this Saturday & the New Noisy Brigade

Recommended Posts

Hi dudes!

Just to let you know that my friends & I will be jetting over for Saturday’s big game & we’re hoping to see as extravagant an afternoon of Fleet kicking seasideboy ass as we saw last time we were over in May.

We’ve been reading the guff about the noise in the covered end & we’ll definitely be joining that section. So people, please don’t be alarmed by the sight of an immensely handsome young man (pictured left) accompanied by 3 friends and someone who looks like he could be the Duke’s dad, who keeps inviting people to sample his salty chocolate balls. Mr Garrison is accompanying us but I have a feeling he’ll think it’s really cool to go & stand with the deckchair crew. I’m sure I noticed him looking rather longingly at a middle aged Margate supporter in a green shirt down at their place. I should forewarn drummer boy that at some point one of his sticks will fly from his hand & freakishly pierce the skull of my little friend in the orange anorak. Don’t fret - although he’ll be carried lifeless from the ground, he’ll be back with us next time.

I liked the suggestion in another thread of ‘Blue Moon’ as a basic “singing” vehicle. It will accommodate almost anything. Here’s one I composed earlier:

“Mar - Gate, how come you’re always so bad? We end up kicking your ass. We end up kicking your ass.”

I’m hoping the bucket & spade boys will be sporting that ridiculous stripy kit of a few years back (the one that looked like a decidedly down market version of the outfit my mummy made me for my “I love Cheesy balls” audition.) Then we could launch into this little number first sung my Jimmy Jackson’s lovely sister & her not so lovely friends:

“Are you deckchairs? Are you deck chairs? Are you deckchairs in disguise? Are you deckchairs in disguise?” (To the tune of “Bread of Heaven.”)

See you Saturday

PS You’ll be pleased to know we’ve just finished filming for our new series, so Aaron will be back with you properly soon. I just hope putting his all into the role of Satan hasn’t taken too much out of him.
