I was told today what the barkingside players done after they beat eton manor on monday..

not nice i must say..and burnham beat them 3 nil today and lets hope we do the same next week..

i think the manager should tell his players to never do it again..its not nice and the people from eton manor do not deserve to be treated this way..plus from the report i read barkingside were quite lucky to hold on 3/2

Knob end my old china if you are involved as a player or manager you will realise that it is all just banter.Playing music loudly, bangin on dressing room walls, giving your opponents some stick is all part of Nonleague footie is`nt it?

Some you win and some you loose. If you are on the wrong end of it you bide your time and your turn mormally comes around.Sometimes it blows up in your face.Last season i was one of the people singing and shouting when Bakingside beat Burnham 2-1 and all but ended their title hopes. They had beaten us on 1 or 2 ocassions and we felt we owed them one.We enjoyed the moment.Today i`m sure they had that defeat in mind and although i am no longer at the club or was`nt at the game i`m sure Burnham enjoyed their moment. And rightly so.So when people on forums are havin a dig,and calling them btc`s just think about your own clubs and i would bet that we all have rubbed someones nose in it weather they were a supporter or a bit of keeper baiting or another player. It`s all banter and part of the game. Here endeth the lesson.

Again wasn`t their so cannot comment.I will just say that in my opinion and only my opinion, the refs wihin the ESL are or were not upto standard last season. If the ref was imtimidated i would say that he or she needs to be able to deal with this accordingly.Sometimes, and i am not condoning this behaviour, refs cause a lot a problems for themselves, and then start flashing around cards as the only way out. They would be recieved better by players if they were more appoachable and were more honest like when they are wrong.

ciders full of [****!!****]...there is more to NL footie than players standing on a centre circle after a fortunate result and singing 'easy easy easy' to thre opposition players....

the same players that have now on two occasions abused our bar staff whilst our staff and supporters have been watching the game..(they won't fckn do it on saturday thats for sure)...and whilst we are at it...where's the promised cheque from barkingside to pay for the fire extinguisher that said heros in flip flops set off...

it comes from the top...if our players carried on like that they wouldn't play for Hx I can tell you that....

bring it on come saturday and lets see what these bully boy champagne 'charlies' superstar champions elect are made of in front of 600 supporters...

You are more than entitled to your opinion mr unc however will not comment on players abusing people as i was not present at the time and would not condone this behaviour personally. As for a fortunate win last monday ,was not present so any info is second hand. Were you their at the game?If not surely your in the same boat as me.As for me being full of [****!!****] that maybe so be as i played non league football in various leagues for 17 seasons, i feel i have a valid opinion, which may or may not be correct.Regarding the said cheque, again not my department,as i am no longer part of the club.

Did not and have not said that the comments re the players were untrue. My playing days are not an issue hear.I actually started watching Eton Manor in 1973 as my dad was physio at the time, when they played at the Walthamstow ave ground. My point was that as i have been involved as a player and a coach in non league footie i am in a position to have a relevant opinion. As for being defensive unc `Cider is full of [****!!****]` was your opening line, who would`nt want to defend themself against that? My main point is that with a game their is always 2 sides in terms of who deserved to win. These opinions to tend to vary greatly at times with people on forums, which is fine.My original point was that this soprt of banter has been going on from the year dot.My way as player and coach has been,to wait for my and my teams time for payback.Three points and a thanks for the game was always enough for me.But i have also being on the wrong end of banter and the person dishing it out.In my opinion alls fair in love and war!

Come on unc i think we are both a bit to mature to do arguments on computors. When you made that remark my point again was that i am in a position to make a relevant opinion as i have played and coached in this standard of footie, big deal..My case history holds no importanace or relevence hear but your comment about doing 30 years and holding council does`nt either. You are and i fully accept, and welcome, entitled to your opinions re my posts. But their are players and people on this forum who i think would agree with what i have said regarding banter within our level of footie. Lastly i will pm you my playing history as it is a good read. Please feel free to comment on my profile old chap.

wohhh...please cider...I use these forums for football related matters...communicating with our wonderful fans.... a bit of gentle banter and the odd savage wind up... if (in my opinion) its appropriate...

I have no problem with you and you are taking it all too seriously...if I offended you I apologise but my comment 'ciders full of sh**e' was not a generalisation...it was aimed at my opinion of your post that I answered.....the rest of my commments were just in jest....

anyway...

fck off I'm going to bed....
