Why should Eddie go and how the hell will that save us from relegation. The fact is that a manager can only do so much, if it were not for Eddie staying with us in the summer we would not even have a decent team to field on our budget so take your negative comments and go and support a team where you comments are welcome. The fact is we will beat the drop and Eddie will help us do that. The team played a good first half so we are capable of playin at this level so get behind the team and the results will follow. Come on you rebels

I don't agree with Eddie going - think that's a step backwards - the club needs stability after what's happened through recent years with the behind the scenes stuff and the Browne era. Since he's been here it's his first bad spell and in Eddie's time we've woon our first trophy in 'x' years and got to the 2nd round of the FA Cup and last 16 of the trophy. Madness to get rid of Eddie after one bad spell.

Hate to criticise Westy, cos he's a STFC playing legend, but yes you do have to maybe wonder why he was bought in. He has no experience of being a number 2 as he was manager at Thame, and seems very similar to Eddie in his quiet approach. Think we need someone like Micky Lewis to give them an ear-bashing at times like he did.

We all know the real reason why we are not doing well this season though - the loss of Ryan Spencer <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

and you have to remember that 95% of the people on this forum:

believe that Eddie can do no wrong

that the playing staff is really well managed

our players are super duper fantastic

all three of these options are quite clearly wrong at the moment, but don't dare criticise anyone as you'll hurt their feelings.

How'd you figure that one out? Several people on this forum at the moment are adgitated at our recent form and noone ever believed that Eddie could do no wrong. He is human after all.

And who ever said that the playing staff is really well managed? Some people are begginning to wonder why Mark West was ever appointed assistant manager.

I think our current league position proves otherwise.

well you agree with me then, but the general consensus on this forum is that no-one who pulls on that amber shirt can be criticised and that our manager is doing a really good job. He isn't as our tactics are all over the shop and the players on the pitch don't seem to know what they're doing. This leads me to believe that the manager isn't up to it

Ian it's not Mr nice guy that makes the best Manager.

No, I know that Roger. Eddie made some baffling decisions yesterday in not changing things when we were up against it so I understand people's frustration.

But we seem to think that there's a whole host of top, experienced managers queuing up to take the Slough job. Is that really the case? If Eddie is to go there needs to be somebody better to take his place. Why would somebody choose to come to Slough Town FC at the moment?

Can't remember who said it yesterday but if Eddie was to walk today, Mark West would be put in charge. Great player for Slough maybe but is that who people would choose to have as manager?

I don't believe Eddie can do no wrong (as I was also critical of some of his selections and decisions, or non-decisions, yesterday) but if he goes we have to have a better alternative and at the moment, I don't know that we do.
