great headline on the main site!

Webbo MFI

Recommended Posts

I was hoping that it wouldn't be "Lippiatt/Saints go for a Burton" but it was, clearly, irresistable, Webbo.

Has he "signed and committed his future to the Saints"? As Laz says, what else is known about t'lad. A City holds its breath in anticipation of further and better particulars. A right-back, I hope.

And the sylph-like Ben Walshe, too.

Bring on the Swifts.

Suits you, Sir!

I quote...

'Nick signed for Gravesend & Northfleet in October 2001 from Hampton & Richmond Borough where he was club captain.

He is a versatile defender who can play anywhere at the back but is probably at his best in a central position. Nick has good vision, is tough-tackling and is particularly strong in the air.

He began his footballing career at Torquay United before moving into non-League football with Yeovil Town and Aldershot Town.

Moved onto Farnborough Town in May 2003 and then had a short spell with Crawley Town in 2004/05 before signing for Eastleigh in the summer of 2005.

Previous Clubs

Crawley T - 7.05, Farnborough T, Gravesend & Northfleet, Hampton & Richmond B, Aldershot T, Yeovil T, Torquay Utd, Portsmouth'

Strong in the tackle and good in the air, eh? Just the ticket.

No doubt Heybridge will be on the phone to the FA as we speak <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chat.gif" alt="" />

Remember him at Gravesend. Good solid defender who could still do a job at Conference level.
