Some thoughts on Canvey

I'd be surprised if there was a police presence. I think that would only happen if we got into the first round of the cup and got a home tie.

Segregation unlikely as the magnitude of the fixture is hardly massive, although it is still a very big game for both sides.

The toilets on the far side have not been open so far this season due to lack of help over the summer to help clean them. Due to the state they were left in from the car boot people, the priority was given to the toilets under the main stand. I take it nobody will step forward to offer their help to get them cleaned, and until such time, they'll stay locked.

I have seen the best part of three seasons and never seen violence at a CIFC game home or away

They will speak their mind

Being very optimistic here, I would think the attendance would be about 900 tops. So I wouldnt have thought there'd be a real need for segregation like the Macclesfield game for example.

Well considering the last FA Cup game attracted a crowd of 537 of which 500 odd were Slough, on that calculation, if Canvey do bring 200, we're looking at a minimum of 700 ppl.

I'm expecting a crowd of around 900 as the FA Cup always brings the not-so-keen followers back to Wexham Park, and hopefully they might stay around!

Canvey fans have never started or been involved in any violence for as long as I've been going to see them (This is my eighth season)

They have been provoked on loads of occasions and will speak their minds but, we are mostly all mouth and no action (the fans that is, not the team <img src="/forums/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" />)

I started the whole thing to find out why the toilets had been shut on the far side of the ground all season. (best view in the park!) the rest was all puff, although I didn't assume police precence automatically meant crowd trouble. (Apologies to any Canvey fans who felt I was getting at them)

The only trouble I have seen at matches between us was at Canvey when one well known member of OUR crowd was trading insults with their manager.

Once upon a time in the conference we had stwards controlling traffic into and out of the Park at the end of the game. I just have a sneaking suspicion that the gate tommorow will be bigger than anticipated. And with large numbers of people present it is always better to err on the side of safety.

reference closed toilets on far side of the ground which is in all pobability where they will locate Canvey fans could your supporters show reasonable hospitality and wear coats with large pockets or oversized wellies

We could then cope Millwall style
