Friday night matches

I see that we've now moved the Crawley game to the Friday before New Years Eve. I hope these evening matches do attract bigger crowds but I'm still not convinced <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I think that the local games (Canvey and Crawley) will attract more fans, as I always think evening games have that little bit of extra atmosphere, and right now thats what we need.

I have mates that are busy/work/watch spurs!! on Saturdays that will come along on Fridays, already arranged the Canvey game etc . . . i think it will increase the crowds . . .

I think that maybe it will attract a few weekend workers, other teamers but we will also lose those who work all week in order to get Saturdays off for football.

A few people I know have already said they won't be able to do the Friday game as they work late to get Saturday off.

Hopefully they gains will outweigh the losses - only time will tell.

Tell me about it, but unfortunately they do!! Like you say - for the ones you gain, you will probably lose the equivalent. I'll be there whatever - what more do they need!!??

I always prefer the atmosphere at night matches but we will have to see what it does to the gate.

I suspect that unless it is well advertised away from the ground and here that nobody will know about it and it will not be a success.

Yeh I prefer the night matches too! Even though it's a lot colder, there is a better atmosphere. Plus there's no sun to bother the people in the stands!
