Worst Decision EVER

With a ref that poor he is bound to go far.

 

In recent years we have seen Martin Yerby ref several of our games and was reported to the Southern League for the handling of one match. He is now a Football League ref and Premiership linesman.

In our Conference days we had Trevor Kettle (universally disliked by Conference fans) who in his first Football League game sent off 3 Torquay players and booked 7. Over this weekend he sent off 3 Rotherham players and their manager who is now facing charges for comments made about him. Chris Waddle also had a go at Kettle in his article in the Sun.

We have seen many poor refs over the years and had our own song for them. The worse time was when as club secretary I had to given them their match fees and you knew they were fiddling their expenses for travelling to the game. You had to smile sweetly at them, watch them put up a very poor performance and still give them drinks in the boardroom after without being allowed to add poison. (Certain sports reporter from the Gazette fell into the same catagory)

Have to agree with comments above, I was again in good position to see Yiga incident and cannot see where the violent conduct was, the ref certainly took some of the shine off the game.
