I know people are entitled to their opinions but listening on the way out to people criticising Alexis just beggars belief. He did ok tonight, not as good as his awesome performance on Saturday, but certainly not the worst Slough player on show. Comments like "we're playing with ten men when Alexis plays" just show how ignorant and biased some of our supporters are against some players. That annoyed me far more than losing did. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I reckon my poll will show how much the reg fans feels Alexis has improved Ian

To be honest save for the goals both players looked untroubled and very comfortable at this level. I think Mousinho in particular looks a very useful prospect. His mistake for the goal - I think but then from seventy yards away it is not always easy to tell our centre backs apart. I would say extend his loan with us for a couple more months to get more experience and see how he develops.

From what I've been told, they are both on a rolling month to month loan deal, and this allows us to keep it going to the end of the season. If both are playing well for us and featuring in the side, it is obviously helping Brentford by giving the players competetive match experience, in a deal which benefits both parties.

Excellent. Moose is obviously very important if Eddie wants to play with the three centre backs.

On a slight aside, I actually thought the midfield did quite well yesterday with Alexis and McCleary being the two contenders for man of the match.

I'm sticking to my guns that I think Michael is a very good player but wouldn't put him as MotM last night. That's mainly because he was superb on Saturday and didn't reach those heights last night. McCleary, on the other hand, was at the heart of everything good we did last night but for once I thought was let down by the strikers.

Much as I wish it was Avery who passed the ball back, I do believe it was Moose. Alexis had another very good game and I spoke to his dad on the way out who said he was much happier now he's playing right in the centre of the midfield. Agree with Ian, the comments on leaving were a joke. McCleary was easily MOTM last night.

P.S. Good luck to Jamie Brooks if this was in fact his final game for us. Since his return especially, he has been a big player for us and has played a part in some much improved performances. I for one hope he goes on to have a successful career in the football league. Good luck Jamie.

P.P.S. Chris S, despite the fact that you are a very influential person at the football club, for which I have great respect for you, it does not mean you are always right!

and now to last night's match. Created some chances, some decent football, blah slurp blah BUT... our defence looks as strong as France's did in 1939 and we all know what happened there. But what could it be? Could it be tactics? What are they? are they from the manager, or maybe the assistant? Could those untouchables presently running the rule over a fairly talented squad with seemingly no idea how to defend anything? Is it time we got in somone who had experience coaching players for a lot longer and a few years?

oh no, someone has once again said something WHICH THE CLUB DO NOT LIKE! How dare these people who pay the players wages and keep the club afloat have an opinion! The pure bloody cheek.

I was just intrigued as to why Radders would have preferred it to have been Avery that gave the ball away rather than another player? That was all!

Dom, my comments were slightly tongue in cheek referring back to Gary's original post. I don't dislike Mark Avery the person, however I do not think as a footballer he is good enough for this level. Sorry if this offends you, but I don't actually care. It's my opinion, much as it was your opinion that it was a good idea to wear THAT hat and scarf combo last night.

The other thing is Dom that, having listened, with Ian, to the comments made about Alexis as we left last night, that those kind of remarks are a personal vendetta. If Mark Avery does something well, I will say it, I'm not too proud to admit when he has improved, the same as I am now starting to see what Michael Alexis offers the team on a regular basis as his performance improves. Those who make judgements on players and then stick by them whatever happens, are those with personal vendettas.

Oh god, I've been thinking out loud again!!!
