Hey Hey Hey Urchins

Taking the Mick

Recommended Posts

Just wanna say been impressed withthe way your club has handled the last year, your fans base seems good still and you seem to be performing well.

The Athletic are doing well still and Johnny Martin is a Grays legend, how he didnt get in your side that much is beyond me he has be a revelation and I wouldnt be suppriced if he is being looked at by league clubs.

Out of the players we got from you Westy was basically everything you decribed but the remaining four seem real top top blokes, Jamie Stuart and Matthews have all the time in the world for the fans and Bayes is just mental.

Hope you come up at the first time of asking lads and ladies and best of luck for the season.

Last time I was at Grays (last season), I would guess it could only hold two thousand max. Has the stand behind the goal been built yet?

What's the capacity now?

I would not like to think that they would get barred from the Football League because the ground capacity is too low.

At the moment its officially 4000-4500 but there are plans that will go into operation if we get into the league that will take a summer to complete. I think you get a three season period to improve the ground which I seriously think we wont need anyway.

The stand behind the goal has indeed been built and has now been re-allocated to the home fans after some poor fan turnouts from away fans.

With regards johnny Martin is true he didnt start straight away but now he is one of the important parts of the team.

Good work on Saturday turning over Exeter in front of 6,500. I had a mate there who's a Grecians fan and he fully admitted that Grays taught them a footballing lesson.

All the best to you, the lads and with getting into the league. Special regards to Johnny martin, I remember bumping into the man at Upminster Bridge station as he arrived for the game against Darlington (I think, it could have been Tranmere). Top man and Urchins legend. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

The trouble is lots of so called non league football fans like to dig up the past and try and be clever. We dont need that.

We will be back BETTER AND STRONGER.

I'm not having a go at you as, as and individual, but at some of the a..holes that come on our web site with stupid comments.
