Credit should be given to the brave souls who make it regular to the Gate, after such high expectations we have not provided the goods so far, but there is plenty of time left,

 

If we had been top 5, what would our average crowd be?

To be fair this time last year the Rams were getting 100 or so in the Kent League, so you can't expect them to be getting big crowds overnight. Anyway, more interest in non-league in Thanet is good for both clubs.

But how far can they go in there league, they have games in hand, a good manager, a young squad, can they make promotion again??

This has already been highled wyise. They need a good ground up to standards to progress anyway and without the income they will almost certainly not gain promotion anyway.The cup runs have brought in some good income but to progress they should use this to upgrade their ground first.True their gates have improved since the Kent League days but the 500 or so that went to watch the big cup games should be going EVERY game and not just when it suits them to do so.At least at Margate we have a strong hardcore of fans that will still go even when we are playing badly and not being entertaining. That is TRUE support.

God help them if they go through a bad patch,as surely you will at sometime during the season. 236 when they are playing the best football of their lives is not something to be proud of and those that are staying away should be ashamed of themselves for doing so.

I disagree we have not played good football in the last two league games so that may have dropped the gate. Plus our crowds would not change if we went through a bad patch as i feel 99% of the people who went Saturday will go to every game as everybody their i would recognise as real fans
