...I thought was fantastic today, a massive hit. The Soccer AM handshake with Matthew Redmile was classic!

 

I think that this is huge step in the right direction in terms of marketing the club, well done all involved <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

I noticed how many kids were around the gull, wanting autographs, talking and generally just having some fun with him. I’m so pleased that people have taken to the gull as hopefully the kids will be back to see the Gull again (oh and the football).

 

This is definitely a move in the right direction for the club.

Thought the Gull was great - didn't give me any sweets though!

 

Just out of curiousity - how did the club promote the kids for a quid? Apart from the forum and official website I can't rememebr seeing it advertised anywhere else.

Unfortunatly A Non E Mouse i dont think they did much else. It was in the Evening Echo but not everyone gets that paper or have the Net to come either on here or the website.

 

We have board's around the Island announcing our next home fixture, why wasnt the kids for a quid advertised on the board's?

 

Also the club have mentioned they are giving 100's of free tickets to schools which is brilliant but were they told about the kids for a quid against Tamworth?. I could be wrong but i have a feeling more than likely not.

A lot of tickets have been promised to Primary schools. I notice some more next game boards have gone up at Sadlers Farm

Have they, that good news, More the merrier. If they do quids for a quid again maybe they can advertise it on the boards with the fixture. Its another avenue the club will have gone down to get people down to the lane.

when the picture of the gull was on the echos front page it took me ages to convince my mum it wasnt a mouse.
