How the fk is Allan Cockram a better manager than Garry Hill??

Stick to tennis, mate.

Easy mate,

Garry Hill had a pretty big budget but Cockram didn't
Saints finished 6th under Hill and 7th under Cockram, not much in it
Both teams exited the FA Cup at the 4Q Round replay stage
Hill wins on the trophy but we didn't play anyone higher than us to the semi final, we drew and lost to a Conf team, as did Cockrams team.

But the football under Hill was dire and boring whereas Cockrams was amazing, if we hadn't had the trophy run it wouldn't of been such a spectacular season!

And that is why!

Hill's football wasn't dire. It was solid. You went into games knowing you weren't going to concede many goals, and with a pretty damn good chance of winning.

Look at the league form first half of that season. We only lost two games between August and the end of January. That's pretty good going.

Which Conference teams has Allan Cockram managed? Which league clubs did Cockram face, and beat, in the FA Cup?

But even if you go on SACFC record only, Garry Hill was far better.

I won't argue about Mitch because I'll get a load of abuse from the various people on here who think he's God, but Hill should certainly be second on your list.

If I had the chance to watch either season again, I'd go for the Cocker's season purely for the entertainment. If I wanted to win the league I'd go for Hilly. I reckon budgets were a little higher during his reign and the league was more competitive.
