......Cunneen (Haha, bet that fooled a lot of you!) our stat god can you help me?

whilst freezing my knackers off yesterday at Stamford.....oh god I think ive just given Arky another selling product idea, ETFC knacker warmers!..... Rock Steady & myself were discussing away league defeats & I reckon you can count The Town's away "LEAGUE" defeats in their history on one hand, am I right?

All I can remember is:

 

Bowers 1-0

Leyton 1-0

Concord 4-1

W. Abbey 2-0

and im sure we lost to Concord on another occasion but am not 100% sure.

 

If this is true can you give me the full stats on that (total away games = wins/draws/loses & %) as I think its an incredible record & would like to know if it can be matched.

I do remember EFC under George "God" Borg going a whole season & more unbeaten away too.

We have not lost an away league game yet of course and you have to go back to the Abbey defeat on 04.12.04 for the last one 14 games ago.

 

We have a long way to go to get to the incredible 32 games unbeaten which stretched from 14.09.02 - 04.12.04 including the whole of the 2003/04 season.

 

Anyway... we played 60 away ESL games (8 SLE) and we lost 5 (absolutely right on your memory there matey) as follows

06.10.01 v Concord 1-4

16.11.01 v Leyton 0-1

29.12.01 v Bowers 0-1

14.09.02 v Concord 0-2

04.12.04 v Waltham abbey 0-2

 

It is an incredible record.....

 

So in the ESL we played 60 away games

Won 42 (70%)

Drew 13 (22%)

Lost 5 (8%)

 

if you include the away games this season.....68 away games

 

Won 48 (71%)

Drew 15 (22%)

Lost 5 (7%)

I wonder how that stands against any other clubs away record? Will take a lot of beating I think.

Surely you are confusing him with Medders who used to listen to Luxemberg or the Light Programme on his crystal set.....

From what i remember of FJ jhis musical taste was far cooler then that!

Is the Dulwich Hamlet salmon pink & powder blue stripes together with a badge of a chicken standing on a football one of your xmas lines from the shop?
Was they on special offer from the local novelty warehouse suppliers?
