We could be in for some good East Kent derbies next season.

 

Margate will stay up.

Folkestone could stay up given the poor quality around them.

Dover came back from 3-0 down to stay top.

Rams snatched the points in the last 10 mins and remain in contention.

 

All 4 in the same division would make for great crowds and local interest.

 

When was the last time it happened anybody?

Dover where not 3-0 down. The scoring was 0-2 1-2 1-3 3-3. Regarding the second comment my old man does not remember all four being in the same league.

NLP gives the goal times as Burgess Hill 5/29/31, Dover 36/77/90. The report suggests the same, but they have been wrong before.

I don't remember all four being in the same division - all except the Rams yes, quite a few times in the eighties def 80-81 for example.

 

Would be great to have all four in same league, but there is a long way to go yet!!

 

Lovely to win yesterday, amazing to keep a clean sheet at last.

 

Now hopefully a few more to lead up to Christmas, where I hope to make an (away) game.

Absolutely certainly, along with Canterbury, Sittingbourne, Ashford, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. Good old days.

Sorry, it was not the Kent League, that was a few years earlier. This was the Southern League.

So next year the league may be

 

Margate

Ramsgate

Folkstone

Dover

Tonbridge A

Chatham (if get promoted from Southern East will change leagues)

Dartford (same as Chatham)

Bromley

 

That would mean each team would play 7 Kentish derbys
