There is a rumour that there is a pitch inspection @ 10:30 am; watch this space

Due to the unseasonal cold weather, there may be a need for a pitch inspection tomorrow at Stamford if the ground freezes over night.

 

If necessary the inspection will take place about 10.30am.

At 9:30 there will be an unofficial pitch inspection to decide whether there needs to be an official pitch inspection at 10:30.

 

Those that have booked a place on 1 of the 2 coaches should assemble at 10:45 for 11:00 departure (at Brimsdown) but be advised if the pitch is deemed to fail the inspection the trip may be called off. Please don't just fail to turn up because if the trip goes without you the supporters club still have to pay for the two coaches.

Having beaten Soham Town in the FA Cup once this season I'm not so sure they would like to see us!

The 10.30 pitch inspection was inconclusive. Stamford are still expecting the game to go ahead but they will have to wait until the match referee turns up and gives his verdict (about 1pm). The team and supporters on the coach are travelling.

allegedly there is a small strip of ground still white with frost; but their groundsman is confident that the sun will do its job
