Another big game tomorrow, Tamworth are bottom at the moment but are doing well in the cup and if their message board is to be believed playing well but not getting any luck (sounds like us last season).

 

The Echo says Sterling`s out with Wardy coming in to take his place, after a good win last week can`t see any other changes apart from maybe Bimson if he`s fit.

Would like to see Bimson start to strengthen the left if Sterling isn't available.

 

Othher than that I can't see to many changes from the FGR line up.

 

This is a critical game as we need the points to open up a mid table gap and we have some very difficult games coming up shortly.

 

Hope we play some attractice football on the deck tomorrow - in which case we should get a result. I don't know how Tamworth play but we don't want to get sucked into long ball tactics or sink to a level that contains us and suits them - we do have a habit of playing to the level of the other side.

In Praise Of Canvey Fans

 

"What a fantastic bunch of people they are. We had no segregation there today, which meant we were free to go and stand anywhere we wanted, and duly did so, right in the midst of the home fans. Every single one of them was superb. I especially loved the guy in the covered part with his flags and his inflatable sea-gulls: pure magic, mate.

 

And then all the fans and stewards who chatted to us throughout the game, and then afterwards too- what a bunch of stars you are. The invite back into the clubhouse at the end said it all. Friendliness personified.

 

We were at Exeter a few weeks back, and they too were brilliant. This is what football should be really about. Banter is brilliant, but then at the end of the day, a handshake and a few good wishes and you all go home happy.I just hope other teams in the division get the same warm welcome when they visit my club.

Just put a cheeky little put down to Grays on there. They are so big headed right now by their threads, so i decided to stir it up a little. I know... naughty, but i think other teams from the league will join in and eventually my plan to disrupt Grays will work! Ha Ha Ha Ha (in the style of Dr. Evil!) (Sorry, i've had a few beers tonight!)

 

I dont care what the league says now. Accy Stanley have more chance of winning that league. They are a better side. Plus, the unthinkable of having a town full of Chavvy inbreds in the professional league is SCARY! Please God, it just cant happen! Please!

Some nice comments there, definately the atmosphere that we want other clubs to experience. I much prefer the non segregated games for this very reason.

Tamworth`s No6 Aaron Brown (the guy who got sent-off) has signed for Reading on loan which could be made permanent in January.

 

From the bottom end of the Conference to top of the Coca-Cola Championship, not a bad move.

Not a bad move atall. I wasnt impressed with him atall, all he seemed to be good at was kicking lumps out of us and that resulted in him getting sent off.

He could find himself playing in the prem next season if reading keep up thier excellent form.

I went to Ipswich v Reading on Tuesday night, and the way Reading are playing at the moment I can't see why they would need anyone else
